Natural Fiber Throws
Their authentic look gives them a charm that synthetic or mixed material throws cannot imitate. They are also appealing due to their general quality. Throws made from natural materials often have good breathability, meaning they allow air to pass through their fibers. Furthermore, they do not retain moisture.
Natural throws can be of animal or plant origin. Examples include wool, silk, cotton, or bamboo throws. However, some materials (especially of animal origin) can cause allergic reactions. Moreover, natural throws often require more care for maintenance due to their delicate nature. This also gives them a "precious" side that exudes a certain charm.
The choice of colors is sometimes limited, as these materials do not always lend themselves to dyeing. Throws in neutral colors are better suited to add a sober touch to a home's interior. From a practical standpoint, natural fiber throws are airy and soft, but can be more expensive than some of their synthetic counterparts.
Synthetic Material Throws
Synthetic throws are appealing due to the possibilities they offer. They can be very warm in addition to being easy to care for. While some are designed to accommodate the most sensitive in terms of allergies, certain materials can accumulate static electricity.
Among synthetic throws are fleece, acrylic, or faux fur throws. These latter are a good alternative to real fur throws for people sensitive to allergens.
Synthetic material throws are soft, warm, and lightweight. They withstand machine washing better and can serve as travel throws. There is a wide choice of colors and patterns for this type of throw. These throws are therefore excellent accessories for personalizing the decor of a somewhat neutral interior.
