Our Commitments

Quality and durability

At Plaid Addict, quality and durability are selection criteria that guide each of our choices.

Raw materials

Natural raw materials

We offer throws woven from soft and durable materials: Shetland wool, merino wool, alpaca wool, cashmere, or mohair. These natural fibers are chosen for their specific properties. The quality of the wool makes our throws long-lasting, and their natural warmth helps limit energy overconsumption. The wools are also recyclable, and sometimes already recycled.

Expertise

Skills above all else

We prioritize natural and high-quality raw materials to offer you throws that last. That's why we work hand-in-hand with renowned spinning mills, some of which have over a century of expertise. Every step of the manufacturing process is perfectly mastered, from yarn to finished throw.

Responsible Production

A short supply chain

Mindful of our ecological impact, we favor short supply chains. Our spinning mills are mainly located in Europe, in order to limit the logistical footprint. Many of our wool blankets are woven in the United Kingdom, in England and Scotland. We also produce in Portugal and Italy, especially for our cashmere blankets.

Certifications

OEKO-TEX and Woolmark certifications

Most of our throws are STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX certified, a label that guarantees environmentally friendly manufacturing processes and the absence of harmful substances.

Some of our wool throws also carry the Woolmark "Pure New Wool" certification, obtained after rigorous laboratory tests: fiber composition, resistance, and washability. The wool thus meets demanding quality standards and remains traceable throughout the supply chain.

Throws chosen to last

Each piece in our collection is selected to meet this dual requirement: beauty and durability. Discover our materials and find the throw that will stay with you for years.
